On August 8, the inaugural China–Bangladesh Health & Medical Advancement Expo opened in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Chinese Ambassador Yao Wen and Bangladeshi Health Adviser Noorjahan attended and delivered speeches. Representatives from 11 Chinese hospitals and medical institutions, along with nearly 1,000 Bangladeshi attendees, participated in the event.
As a nationally recognized Key Clinical Specialty (Oncology) hospital and a modern, international oncology center, Guangzhou Fuda Cancer Hospital was honored to be invited to this prestigious exhibition. During the opening ceremony, Dr. Liu Shupeng, Director of Fuda’s Fifth Medical Department, delivered an engaging keynote speech on behalf of the hospital.
At the ceremony, Dr. Liu received a certificate of appreciation from the organizing committee and signed a cooperation intention agreement with United Healthcare Services Ltd.
Fuda’s exhibition booth featured neatly designed, informative materials showcasing the hospital’s unique treatment technologies. The display drew considerable interest from international visitors. Dr. Liu and Ms. Tracy Tan, Head of the International Affairs Department, offered professional consultations, addressing questions from Bangladeshi cancer patients and introducing Fuda’s wide range of medical tourism services—covering treatment, health management, and rehabilitation.
During the expo, Dr. Liu also analyzed the medical conditions of local cancer patients, while Ms. Tracy Tan presented Fuda’s signature oncology treatments to Bangladesh’s Minister of Health. The Minister expressed strong interest and scheduled an in-depth discussion with Fuda on Saturday, August 9.
Ms. Tan was also interviewed by multiple media outlets, including China Central Television’s Bangladesh bureau, where she highlighted the hospital’s core services and minimally invasive technologies.
On August 9, the Fuda delegation will visit local hospitals for exchange and cooperation. That evening, Dr. Liu will deliver a special lecture on minimally invasive cancer therapies.
Since its founding, Fuda Cancer Hospital has pursued an international development strategy in hospital management and patient services. By integrating Cryoablation (CEA), Cancer Microvascular Intervention (CVI), and Combined Immunotherapy (CIC) into its signature “3C+P” personalized treatment model, the hospital has attracted patients from more than 110 countries and regions. Leveraging the opportunities presented by this expo, Fuda aims to deepen collaboration with Bangladeshi medical institutions, jointly promote the “Health Silk Road” initiative, and bring greater health benefits to the peoples of both countries.
