Poverty is not a sin. Due to poverty, poor cancer patients are unable to get the best medical treatment available. However, doctors’ calling is to help the sick and save lives. There should be no differentiation in services provided by doctors to the rich and the poor. When we have patients who cannot afford to pay for their medical expenses, we have to “bite the bullet” and do our best for them, the least is to let them find solace in doctors.
